I'm alive!

Sorry I abandoned the blog for a few weeks. I'm now totally settled in at work, and I still love it. The people I work with are great, the patients are great, and I can really tell that what I'm doing is making a difference. Several patients have told me that they can see a difference, too, which is very gratifying and encouraging. :)

Lucy is settling in to our home really well! She's only had 3 accidents, and she's now learned her name as well as "come" and "get down". We need to start working on other commands soon. She and Pongo are getting along really well, and they love playing together outside, and hanging out in the crate together when we're not home.

Other than that, we've been busy training for our first half-marathon, which will take place on March 14th, and fundraising for our second half, which is with Team in Training. We have a lot of money still to raise, but we're slowly adding to our funds. Training is going pretty well, and I'm really starting to look forward to my runs every week, which is a good sign, I think.

The last thing that's keeping me busy lately is the Ravelympics. I'm knitting fingerless mittens for my project, and I am almost halfway done with the second mitten, so I think I have a chance of finishing by the deadline! I need to get back to knitting now, but I'll update once I finish my project with a photo! :)
